About Our Rabbitry
R3 is a small, but growing rabbitry located in the Panhandle of Florida. We are north of Panama City, East of Pensacola, and West of Tallahassee. This is a family owned and run operation. We are not a rabbit mill. Our rabbits are given only the best feed, living conditions, and are handled daily.
We strive with the ever elusive goal of having each litter be 100% show worthy, but even the kits that fall below the mark held in ARBA's Standard of Perfection are still treasured. We breed for quality over quantity, and maintain strict genetic discipline. We are currently running multiple breeding lines to include our show standard Black and Blue, as well as our Chocolate and Lilac lines. Someday, we hope to achieve a stable line of the elusive White Silver Fox.
We house our rabbits in a fully secure, specially designed enclosure guaranteed to ensure the health and well being of our herd. No wind, rain or natural predator is allowed to come inside our rabbit house. Our herd does have access to the outdoors, where rabbits naturally belong, however this being Florida, we do have to take very special care in the heat of Summer. Our rabbits cannot disappear into a burrow that is constantly cool, so we use artificial cooling methods when the temperature rises above 80 degrees. Also, out of an abundance of caution, no breeding activities will occur during the summer months of June, July or August, unless temperatures remain stable below 85 degrees. The lives and health of our rabbits are worth far more to us than another litter of kits.
Our Team
Here at R3 our team is, of course, the rabbits! These busy balls of fluff would work 24/7 if we let them, as anyone who has ever owned a pair of rabbits knows all too well. The only photos of multiple rabbits are either below 12 weeks old, or they have been separated by gender. We don't want any surprise litters on our farm!
